Welcome to the diseasesatoz.org

Patients come to the emergency department (ED) with symptoms, not diagnoses. Emergency physicans must worry about patients' symptoms representing a serious disease before making a diagnose of common and more benign condition. Migraine is not diagnosed without consideration of subarachnoid hemorrhage, nor is spontaneous abortion diagnosed before evaluation for ectopic pregnancy.

This web site provides a symptom-based approach to emergency department. It is designed to be used in the ED and to serve as a study guide of many emergent conditions. It is not a "cookwebsite" for patient care, nor does it provide a comprehensive differential diagnosis of disease. The contain fouses the physican's attention on many conditions that must be considered while caring for ED patients. For each causes, diagnosis, the symptoms, signs and treatment consideration are addressed.
