Cervical Spine Disc HerniationThe backbone, or spine, is composed of a series of connected bones is known as "vertebrae". The vertebrae surround the spinal cord and also protect from damage. Vertebrae are connected by a disc and two small joints known as "facet" joints. Disc and facet joints allow for movements of the vertebrae and you can rotate your neck and back through this vertebrae. Disc is made of a tough outer layer known as "annulus fibrosus". and a gel-like center known as "nucleus pulposus." If they become damaged, they may break open, is known as herniated or slipped disc. Herniated discs may occur in any part of the spine, but mostly it may occur in the neck (cervical) and lower back (lumbar) spine. Causes
